Safety & Hire Standards

Review the safety and hire requirements before submitting your request. EDPH will confirm hire terms and any delivery arrangements during approval.

Safety & Hire Requirements

  • No demolition use permitted
  • Maximum 12 operating hours per machine per day
  • Maximum 500 km per day on vehicles and trailers
  • Fuel must be returned full
  • Equipment must be returned clean
  • SWMS documentation available
  • GPS tracking fitted to equipment
  • Pre-start checks and logbook completion required
  • Additional cleaning, fuel, damage or excess usage charges may apply
  • Equipment remains the property of Eastern Downs Plant Hire at all times
  • Wet hire only where agreed in writing
  • Operator competency may be required before hire approval
